BI 400
Eco Risk Assess & Sustain
Ecological risk assessment evaluates toxicological effects of environmental stressors. The course will cover methods and approaches for evaluating
exposure, assessing impacts, and ensuring environmental protection. Case studies and independent investigation will be used to understand the interdisciplinary nature of risk characterization. Topics may include fate and transport estimates, remediation targets, uncertainty analysis, communicating risk, and the application of models for ecological risk assessment.
Prerequisites: BI300 or WASC302 or BI306.
Exclusions: WASC402.
Notes: 3 lecture hours.
